At ADS, we live and breathe automation. When a customer came to us needing a custom automation solution to improve their manufacturing process, our design engineers got right to work.

The Problem

Touchstone Technology reached out to ADS when they realized their manufacturing process needed an efficiency boost. Their manufacturing process for touch screen technology assembly had become too demanding to perform manually. They needed an automated solution, but didn’t necessarily know where to start.

They needed a customized piece of automation equipment that would ensure the same level of quality control and placement tolerance as a machine operator, but that could also create a more efficient process by minimizing operator supervision and increase production capacity.

The ADS Solution

The design engineers at ADS got to work designing a completely custom piece of equipment that would automate the manufacturing process. This automated equipment piece incorporated several individual automated parts, some that had to be accurate in placement within ½ of a pixel size.

ADS worked with trusted partners to manufacture specialized control and automated equipment parts. Quality control was a priority concern and the assembled piece of equipment was rigorously tested at each stage of development.

The Result

Touchstone Technology now has a fully custom and automated piece of equipment to manufacture their products. With this equipment, they are able to increase product production, increase process efficiency, and lower costs.
